Austin, TX, USA | Texas DOT
2007-2012 | DBFOM | USD $1,300 million
Project Description
The SH-130 Segments 5 & 6 Project involved the design, construction, financing, operation, and maintenance of approximately 41 miles of new toll highway southeast of Austin, Texas. The project forms part of the State Highway 130 corridor, which provides an alternative route to Interstate 35 for both commuter and freight traffic through Central Texas.
The highway extends from Seguin to Mustang Ridge, creating a high-speed corridor intended to improve regional mobility, reduce congestion on I-35, and support economic growth in the Austin–San Antonio region.
The project includes multiple interchanges, bridges, drainage systems, and supporting roadway infrastructure, and represents one of the first large-scale transportation Public-Private Partnership (P3) projects delivered in Texas.
